  • All UK stores will be fundraising for UNICEF at its tills from 1st May through to match day, with Primark making a £50,000 standalone donation this year.
  • Over £2.1 million has been raised by Primark for UNICEF since its partnership began in 2020.

Primark is stepping back onto the pitch as principal partner and official outfitter for Soccer Aid for UNICEF, as the world’s biggest charity football match celebrates its 20th anniversary at London Stadium on Sunday 31st May.

Primark is marking the occasion by dressing the stars and fundraising for its long-term charity partner UNICEF. Since the retailer’s partnership with Soccer Aid began in 2020, over £2.1 million has been raised for UNICEF by Primark teams fundraising through its stores.

Helping the teams arrive in style, Primark will once again dress a standout line-up of celebrities and football legends, including Wayne Rooney, Jill Scott, Angry Ginge and Olly Murs. Drawn from the retailer’s latest tailoring range, the suited looks feature quality textured fabrics and modern colours, designed to elevate the stars’ style on and off the pitch.

From 1st May through to match day, all UK stores will run fundraising activity, where customers can choose to donate £1 or more at tills and Primark will also make a direct £50,000 donation from the sales of its tailoring range. From 11th May, the new tailored suit range, which starts from £50, will be available to shop in selected* UK stores and via its new customer app, making it even easier to shop direct using its popular Click & Collect service across Great Britain.

Kari Rodgers, Retail Director, said: “We’re proud to return as Soccer Aid’s official outfitter in such a special anniversary year. After seven years and over £2.1 million raised from in-store fundraising efforts, we’re excited to be fundraising again this year with our colleague’s passion and creativity bringing this moment to life for our customers in store. We really appreciate the generosity of our customers, who always show up year after year, as every donation made helps children around the world learn, play and thrive. Together, with everyone’s support, we’re determined to make Soccer Aid for UNICEF in 2026 our biggest year yet.”

Sophie Capleton, Director of Soccer Aid at UNICEF UK, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Primark again for a seventh consecutive year. The generosity of Primark’s customers, alongside the enthusiasm and commitment of its staff to support Soccer Aid for UNICEF, is truly incredible. From their amazing in-store fundraising to the standalone donation from Primark’s new suit range, every contribution helps support UNICEF’s vital work around the world – giving children access to safe, inclusive learning, supporting them through emergencies, and helping ensure millions of children can have happier, healthier and more play filled childhoods.”

Now in its seventh year as Principal Partner of Soccer Aid for UNICEF, Primark has been supporting UNICEF’s vital programmes in education, inclusion, and emergency response around the world. To date, the partnership has helped give more than one million children access to safe, clean and inclusive learning environments, while also supporting UNICEF’s humanitarian and emergency response work for children and families in crisis.

Since its debut in 2006, Soccer Aid for UNICEF has raised over £121 million for the charity. This year’s 20th anniversary edition will be broadcast live on ITV and STV from 6.30pm on Sunday 31st May. Donate to UNICEF ahead of the match at https://donate.socceraid.org.uk/
