Redical’s The Liberty Romford is about to become the latest hotspot for sport and social connection, as S3 Padel prepares to open its third London venue at the destination. The high-quality facility will officially open its doors in Spring 2026, offering a fresh, modern space for community play and connection.
The 43,600 sq ft Romford site will feature six padel courts, premium facilities, and a programme designed to welcome players of all ages and abilities. From first-time players to competitive athletes, the venue will create an inclusive space where people can get active, connect socially, and enjoy one of the most exciting sports sweeping the UK.
Tom Rooney, CEO, S3 Padel, commented: “We’re thrilled to be launching S3 Padel at The Liberty Romford, creating a new destination for sport, socialising, and community. With demand for padel growing rapidly across the UK, this venue will give players, families, and businesses in Romford the chance to discover the game, get active, and be part of a vibrant community.”
Dan Tucker, Leasing Manager, Redical added: “Incorporating leading leisure into The Liberty Romford is a key strategic focus for us, and the addition of S3 Padel is a stellar contribution to this. A strong padel operator is noticeably lacking in Romford, and S3 Padel launching their third London site at the destination speaks to both the scheme’s desirability within the capital, and taps into our dedicated local community ready to get active.”
As part of its commitment to growing the sport and supporting local communities, S3 Padel has pledged to donate 250,000 hours of court time over the next five years. These hours will be offered to schools, charities, and community organisations, giving thousands of people the opportunity to discover and enjoy padel, regardless of background or experience. This initiative is a core part of S3 Padel’s mission to make the sport inclusive, accessible, and inspiring for all.
The launch of S3 Padel Romford is part of the S3’s national growth strategy, with multiple new venues planned to open across the UK in 2025 and 2026. By combining state-of-the-art facilities with accessible coaching, leagues, and community programmes, S3 Padel continues to lead the charge in making padel the UK’s most inclusive and social sport.
