Hundreds queue to watch England football legend officially open new GO Outdoors store in Huddersfield

The new GO Outdoors store at Leeds Road Retail Park in Huddersfield celebrated its grand opening on 12^th April, attracting over 450 customers who queued for the event.​

England football legend and proud Yorkshireman David Seaman cut the ribbon at 9 am, marking the store’s official opening. As part of the celebrations, Seaman took part in a Q&A session, drew a raffle and signed autograph cards, football shirts and gloves.

Adding to the excitement, Huddersfield Town AFC’s mascot, Tilly the Terrier, was on hand to greet visitors. The first 200 groups through the doors were also treated to goody bags to celebrate the new store.

Paul Gavin, Store Manager, commented: “We are extremely excited and proud to open Huddersfield’s new GO Outdoors and the opening event was a huge success. It was great to see so many customers come out to join us to celebrate.

We have had a brilliant couple of years at GO, as more and more people are reaping the benefits of the outdoors for their physical and mental well-being, and this expansion is the outcome of that success.

The new store has ample free customer parking and stocks a wide range of unbeatable brands, such as Rab, OEX, The North Face and Berghaus, as well as trusted brands like Regatta, Craghoppers, YETI and North Ridge

The 31,000+ sq ft store also provides services like boot and rucksack fitting, along with a full-size Fishing Republic concession.
