Eldon Square chosen as first North East location for beloved Indian street food restaurant

Eldon Square, Newcastle’s premier shopping and leisure destination, is thrilled to announce that Chit ‘n’ Chaat, the authentic Indian street food brand, is set to open its seventh site in Eldon Square this winter.

As the brand’s first foray into the North East, visitors to Eldon Square can expect a 3,000 square foot restaurant, complete with Chit ‘n’ Chaat’s signature design features: eye catching lightboxes, neon bikes, wall art and biophilic displays. Chit ‘n’ Chaat brings a unique offering to Eldon Square as its first F&B outlet specialising in Indian cuisine, catering to the area’s growing local demand for this type of cuisine.

Originating from a vision to bring delicious Indian street flavours to new audiences, the Eldon Square site will offer food fanatics a unique culinary experience. With a focus on outstanding service, including streamlined kitchen operations and sustainability practices, the new restaurant aims to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

The new Chit ‘n’ Chaat restaurant at Eldon Square marks the second deal between the brand and asset managers Pradera Lateral, following the successful opening at Trafford Centre’s Eastern Garden in 2024.
