SLR-operated Springfields Designer Outlet & Leisure has now delivered its 20th year of consecutive growth, except lockdowns, and is amongst the very best performing UK outlets. This reinforces Springfields position as a leading designer outlet centre in the East of England and East Anglia.
Stores like Molton Brown, Levi’s, Skechers, Dune, Radley London, Osprey London, Ben Sherman, Crew, White Stuff and M&S Outlet drive exceptional growth.
Springfields integrated designer-quality leisure has been designed to outperform all other attractions in the region, and this pays dividends with yet more footfall from high spending guests.
The free-to-enter, and nationally important, RHS Partner gardens which wrap around the outlet, are key to attracting upmarket guests to the outlet.
The family Adventure Land, with its JCB Young Drivers experience and Tree Top village, are bolstered by a series of footfall-driving events throughout the year. Live music, celebrity visits, the region’s spectacular Firework display and the Winter Wonderland Walk attracting well over 30,000 paying guests all enhance retailer turnover.
“It’s a pleasure to work with such a terrific line up of designer-quality retail partners like Molton Brown, Dune London, Radley, Joules, Skechers, Ben Sherman and Levi’s. Together we continue to innovate and grow every year. Leases go through quickly because, as ex-retailers, we treat our brands as partners and target customers who make a positive difference to their turnover,” said CEO Ian Sanderson, Owner of Asset Manager SLR Outlets, who originally developed Springfields.
Owned by the UBS-managed Triton Property Fund LP, this outdoor designer leisure and retail combination delivers what guests are looking for, a great value shopping experience set in an uplifting healthy green environment. There is even a 58,000 sq ft Blue Diamond home, leisure and garden centre.
All segments are showing growth with very strong results for fashion and athleisure. The food and beverage sector is also doing well with restaurants and cafés extending visitor time and expenditure. The new Loungers restaurant, and The Parlour, attract premium ABC1 shoppers.
Springfields recently implemented preliminary works on its consented 50,000 sq ft Phase 3, and has plans for more ESG initiatives, making it one the UK’s greenest shopping and leisure destinations.
