All-day dining destination, Bill’s Restaurant, has officially opened once again at Highcross Leicester’s St Peter’s Square.

First founded in 2001 by greengrocer Bill Collison, Bill’s Restaurant chain has grown from a small café into a much-loved national brand. Its return to Leicester, today, signals an optimistic new chapter for the popular eatery and a boost for the city’s growing hospitality scene.

Having previously closed its Leicester branch in late 2022, as part of the brand’s nationwide post-Covid closures, Bill’s return to the heart of St. Peter’s Square marks an important milestone in the ongoing refresh of one of the city’s popular dining and leisure hot-spots, which recently welcomed Maki & Ramen to its line-up.

Known for its relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, Bill’s Restaurant’s menu celebrates fresh and seasonal ingredients, offering everything from breakfasts and brunches, such as its famous pancakes, to vibrant lunches and dinners, including much-loved dishes like its classic burgers and fish and chips.

The new Leicester restaurant – which will sit alongside Pho and Tamatanga – features refreshed and inviting interiors with restaurant, bar, open terrace and relaxed seating space for diners to enjoy.

To celebrate the reopening, diners who sign up to the Bill’s newsletter will receive 20% off their next meal.

Welcoming Bill’s Restaurant back to Highcross, Centre Director, Michelle Menezes, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming back Bill’s Restaurant to Highcross. Its return is a true testament to the pull of Leicester’s food and drink scene, and our ongoing effort to enhance the experience of our visitors. Reopening ahead of the festive season, Bill’s is also perfectly placed to offer a warm and welcoming setting for get-togethers, celebrations and seasonal catch-ups this coming autumn and winter.

Bill’s has always been a firm favourite among the general public, and its re-opening, alongside other recent arrivals like Maki & Ramen, has already sparked interest from a number of other exciting potential additions. While we can’t share any more details just yet, we’re confident that more great names will be joining the Highcross line-up in the near future.”
