Selfridges’ Christmas Shop is now open!

Selfridges’ newly opened Christmas Shop is an essential festive destination – and an experience unlike any other.

Inspired by the rush, magic and emotion of the season in the world’s most festive cities, this year’s Christmas Shop takes inspiration from the energy of city life. The space reimagines everyday retail fixtures found in city centres worldwide: the convenience store, newsagent, souvenir shop or bodega to create two bustling store fronts, “Santa’s” Bodega and the “House of Souvenirs” (100 percent merry guarantee included), plus nods to London, NYC, Paris and Berlin, with market hot dog carts stacked with baubles, streetlamps and city-style fly posters dotted throughout. It’s the most fun and ambitious Christmas Shop concept yet; a festive metropolis that invites customers to get delightfully lost in it.

Those looking for the perfect decorations are spoilt for choice, with a record-breaking 1,120 baubles, lights and tree trimmings to pick from – the most options Selfridges has ever stocked – and a selection large enough to fill an 11-foot tree without repeating a single ornament. And with searches for “Christmas” already up almost 300 percent on selfridges.com month on month, it seems customers are more ready than ever to get festive shopping started.

Customers can wander walls of avant-garde baubles; discover personalisable gifts, cards and wrap; stock up on advent calendars, crackers, stockings, wreaths and garlands; and discover the Lemax Christmas Village. From 22nd September, Unlocked members can show their key at the Christmas Shop in exchange for a vending machine token to release Selfridges stickers with designs including a hand-illustrated taxi, snow globe and other Selfridges city icons.
