In the heart of London, American Vintage has unveiled a new store in Redchurch, an emerging neighbourhood known for its ever-evolving energy and strong creative identity.
In a city where trends constantly shift from one district to another, American Vintage continues its development by investing in “up-and-coming” areas. This new location stands out for its slightly offbeat positioning with a more low-key street, full of character, both vibrant and almost quietly timeless.

With this new Redchurch opening, the brand reinforces its presence in London while choosing to express a different facet of its identity. More than expanding, American Vintage embraces a “sidestep” approach by selecting a location that challenges traditional retail positioning and strengthens its image.
Designed as a flagship, this store goes beyond retail to offer a true lifestyle experience. Spanning two floors, the space has been conceived as a fluid journey, encouraging exploration and curiosity. The layout breaks traditional codes – menswear is not confined to a single level, allowing for a more flexible and intuitive customer experience.

Particular attention has been given to guiding the visitor throughout the space. Light installations, including a distinctive light box, subtly lead customers upstairs, while a brightly lit staircase enhances visibility and flow. These contemporary elements contrast with the building’s original architecture, preserving the charm of its brick facade while integrating the American Vintage DNA without imposing it.
Colour plays a central role in the concept. A pale yellow, first introduced by the brand in Barcelona, defines the exterior and part of the interior identity. This bold choice allows the store to stand out within a street filled with stores, while highlighting the product – particularly a curated selection of t-shirts echoing the same tones.

The project also reflects a strong commitment to local and European craftsmanship. Paint artisans sourced locally in the UK, with each element carefully selected and produced with a focus on proximity and authenticity.
With this opening, American Vintage captures the essence of London through a neighborhood that remains authentic while constantly evolving. By blending heritage, bold visual identity, and experiential retail, the brand continues to redefine its presence in one of its key markets.
