LOOKFANTASTIC absorbs VAT costs on SPF for the third consecutive year

For the third year in a row, LOOKFANTASTIC is voluntarily absorbing the cost of VAT on select SPF 30+ products to support the importance of sun protection and further SPF accessibility for customers. This commitment follows the launch of a new parliamentary report from the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Beauty, Hair & Wellbeing which has declared UV radiation a “preventable public health crisis” in the UK.

The report highlights alarming revelations including the statistic that 86 percent of melanoma skin cancer cases and 90 percent of non-melanoma skin cancers in the UK are preventable. In addition, the report states that melanoma cases projected to rise by 9 percent by 2038 and more than seven people currently dying from melanoma every day.

LOOKFANTASTIC believes SPF should be an everyday essential, not just a holiday purchase.
