Play Padel to launch at Meadowhall

Meadowhall has announced that Sheffield-born, indoor padel club operator, Play Padel has signed to launch its second space later this year, creating a vibrant new hub for sport and socialising at the UK’s most dominant super regional centre.

The new 35,000 sq ft flagship venue will comprise eight indoor courts, a clubhouse, café, and social space. Play Padel brings together sport, socialising, and hospitality to create a high-quality leisure destination that complements Meadowhall’s existing retail, leisure, and F&B offer. This also brings one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to Meadowhall, appealing to a diverse mix of ages and demographics.

The signing signals the centre’s commitment to meeting evolving consumer expectations, and its unique ability to deliver uses that extend beyond the traditional retail experience. Play Padel has taken a unit in the M1 Distribution Centre, a business park within the Meadowhall Estate, ensuring ease of accessibility for visitors and the ideal type of space for padel, working perfectly for both dedicated trips and as part of a complete day-out at the destination.
