Danish lifestyle brand Søstrene Grene has confirmed plans to open a new store at The Beacon in Eastbourne, bringing its signature Scandinavian design and affordable homewares to the South Coast. The opening marks a significant new addition to the town’s retail offering, giving local shoppers a fresh destination for thoughtfully designed, design-led finds.
The Eastbourne store will introduce Søstrene Grene’s distinctive retail concept to the town, offering a calm and immersive shopping experience that blends creativity with everyday living. The opening forms part of the brand’s continued expansion across the UK, as demand grows for its considered approach to homewares and lifestyle products.
From kitchen essentials and soft furnishings to craft supplies and seasonal décor, Søstrene Grene’s range is designed to be explored. With collections refreshed weekly, the store invites customers to slow down and discover something new with every visit. Reflecting the Danish concept of hygge, the store features soft lighting, classical music and a labyrinth-style layout, creating a calm, sensory environment where shopping becomes a moment of escape.
Mikkel Grene, Group CEO and Co-owner of Søstrene Grene, commented: “We’re very excited to open our first store in Eastbourne and to offer customers in the area a chance to experience the charm and quality of Søstrene Grene. We’ve always believed good design should be part of everyday life, not just something reserved for special occasions. Our stores are about offering products that feel considered and well made, at prices that make creativity and self-expression genuinely accessible.”
With more than 380 stores across 17 markets, the global presence continues to grow alongside ambitious UK expansion plans where the brand aims to reach 100 stores by the end of 2027.
UK Partners, Norma Jacob and Richard Power, who operate Søstrene Grene stores across Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and the South of England are looking forward to the opening of the new Fareham store.
Norma Jacob comments: “Eastbourne has a calm, creative energy that feels very aligned with Søstrene Grene. It’s a town with its own character and rhythm and we’re looking forward to becoming part of the everyday routine for locals and visitors alike.
Richard Power added: “It’s a very exciting time for the brand as we continue to expand throughout the UK. Each opening invites new customers to explore the wonderful world of Søstrene Grene and we have plenty more exciting launches in the pipeline.”
The official opening date of Søstrene Grene at Eastbourne, The Beacon, will be announced very soon.
