musicMagpie wins lifetime achievement award for being ‘most successful eBay seller in UK history’

musicMagpie, the circular economy pioneer specialising in refurbished consumer technology, has won eBay UK’s first ever lifetime achievement award.

Since being founded in 2007, the Stockport-headquartered company has evolved from selling second hand CDs, DVDs and books to now stocking the latest refurbished phones, tablets and other tech on its website.

It has also become the first global eBay seller to hit 20 million positive reviews on the platform and has now been recognised with a lifetime achievement gong at the ninth annual eBay Top Seller Awards, which was held in Mayfair, last week.

Steve Oliver, CEO and founder of musicMagpie, said: “I’m delighted and humbled that the business that started out of my garage 18 years ago has been recognised in this way.

eBay has been so important to our success over the years and it’s been a huge effort from the whole musicMagpie team to get us to this point. I’m incredibly excited to see what the future holds for us as a company, especially now that we’re part of the AO family.

musicMagpie and the other winners on the night will receive £10,000, bespoke business support, and the opportunity to be featured in eBay’s Seller Stories video series.
