Trophaeum welcomes the opening of Corbin & King’s new restaurant venture, Soutine on St John’s Wood High Street

Trophaeum is pleased to announce the launch of Soutine, due to open at the end of April. The new establishment will open at 60 St. John’s Wood High Street, on one of London’s most famous and much-loved high-streets.

Located in an impressive period building, the informal neighbourhood rendezvous will take inspiration from the great boulevard cafés of Paris, with the front room and pavement offering a relaxed café and bar seating, leading to a slightly more formal space at the rear of the restaurant.

Spanning over 3,5000 sq ft, the restaurant design, led by Jeremy King and Shayne Brady of BradyWilliams, is heavily influenced by the area’s strong artistic heritage where the nearby St John’s Wood Art School – which subsequently became the Anglo-French Art Centre – was opened by returnees from the Parisian Art Community. Celebrating this history, the space will evoke the Arts and Crafts Movement whilst taking visual cues from Edwardian architecture.

Soft and feminine in its approach, custom tiled flooring in the bar is evocative of Parisian bistros. The front room has been designed to be casual, light and airy, encouraging impromptu coffees or more substantial all-day dining. A marble top bar with pewter edge detailing will play host to 15 guests and become the ideal place to drink or dine. The rear salon offers a more formal dining experience.

Dedicated to protecting the architectural styles that St. John’s Wood High Street is renowned for, Trophaeum are continuing to enhance the aesthetic and add more retail, restaurants, lifestyle and wellness concepts to this stylish destination. The high street is home to luxury and ready-to-wear essentials from boutiques including Rigby & Peller and ba&sh, while seasonal statements from Joseph and Paulie and are housed within beautifully appointed spaces.

Matt Farrell, Managing Director, Trophaeum: “Our mission for St. John’s Wood High Street is to introduce a new wave of tenants, while supporting and celebrating local independent traders to ensure we maintain the heritage and offering that the High Street is renowned and loved for. In just the past 2 years, Trophaeum have introduced no less than 8 new premium and accessible fashion and lifestyle brands, including ME+EM, FACEGYM, ba&sh and now looking forward to welcoming, Soutine. Trophaeum are dedicated to creating a destination that plays a vital part in the lives of the community and consumers, while offering a shopping experience unlike any other in North West London.”
