Superdrug is delighted to confirm that brand audio experts KVH Studios is the new provider of its live store radio service.

The new service will feature fully-live interactive entertainment shows seven days a week across the majority of Superdrug stores, with a dual-presenter show broadcast on Saturdays and an out of hours, colleague-focused evening show once a month.

Broadcast from KVH Studios based in Leeds, former Virgin Games presenter Daisie-Belle Downer and TalkSPORT presenter Debbie King will host the show from Sunday to Friday, while Pulse 1 Breakfast and ARIAS ‘Best Breakfast Music Presenter’ winners Mylo & Rosie will provide the entertainment on Saturdays.

As well as overhauling Superdrug’s music policy, the station programming has also been enhanced, with increased options for store-level and day-parted messaging, moving to a personalised and targeted advertising model.

Patrick Megarry, Superdrug head of marketing comments: “Radio is an integral part of the store experience for our customers and we are delighted that our new service will allow more personalization and keep customers engaged and excited.”

KVH Studios’ Head of New Business Development, Claire Martin, who has overseen the transition, said; “We are beyond thrilled to be working with such a fantastic brand and have the opportunity to create high-level entertainment and advertising content, including a strong calibre of presenters.” Part of KVH Media Group, KVH Studios has been creating and developing tailored background music and in-store radio for a wide client base for more than 30 years.

“This is such an exciting service for us to be involved with. Superdrug are a fun and vibrant brand with a really engaged – but expectant – customer base, and the fact we’re live seven days a week gives us a fantastic platform to reach out to both these customers and colleagues alike, making it a really inclusive service.”

The creative content has been spearheaded by KVH Studios’ Joe Muddiman and Matt Moore. Muddiman said; “The Superdrug team have been a joy to work with and are really open to the ideas and suggestions we put forward, allowing us to be really creative and ensure the service works as hard as possible for the brand.”

The new Superdrug Live radio service launched in stores on Wednesday 27th March, with the first dual-presenter show on Saturday 30th March.
