Stylo makes PPE for the NHS

Stylo, along with the rest of the world, have never known times like this. The COVID-19 situation forced them to re-think how they go about doing things. Lucy Buckingham, Marketing Manager at Stylo tells A1 Retail more about what they have been up to.

“Stylo wanted to help those in urgent need, and you cannot miss the global plea for PPE equipment across all NHS facilities, frontline carers, and the like. Therefore, we began making the face shields. Using material, we had in our HQ stock, we were able to make several hundred masks and donate them to Watford General hospital and doctors’ surgeries local to our offices.

From there it has continued to grow. We made as many as we could with the materials available to us and now the total has risen to over a thousand. After sharing our story on social media, we have been inundated with kind messages and thanks. The reaction has really been quite amazing. So much so that a local corporate client asked if we could up our output if they helped with some funding, with this help we are now closer to producing upwards of 1000 face shields per week and are looking to improve this further. We have also shared our cut files to a hundred plus companies for them to make their own shields and distribute locally.

The NHS and all the carers are the real heroes here and that’s why Stylo have decided to continue to donate PPE across the UK, and further to this are looking at other ways we can help this important and rewarding service.”
