Shackleton Opens Seasonal Concept Store on 63 Regent Street

The new Regent Street store showcases the brand’s apparel collections and expedition experiences

Shackleton, the British performance apparel company specialising in technical equipment for living and working in the world’s extremes, continues its brick and mortar retail journey with the opening of a new London store on 63 Regent Street.

Located a stone’s throw away from 4 Burlington Street where ‘the Boss’, Sir Ernest Shackleton, originally set up his polar expedition headquarters back in 1913, this seasonal concept store will serve as hub for the community of outdoor enthusiasts and explorers who find themselves in the capital.

The new seasonal concept store will see a range of different activations unfold inside its doors over the coming months, including speaker events featuring adaptive explorer Martin Hewitt and Shackleton’s Director of Expeditions Louis Rudd MBE, followed by commemorations of the centenary of Shackleton’s passing in the new year.

The space will also be dedicated to Shackleton Challenges; the brand’s unique expedition travel and training program designed to enable people of all abilities to develop their adventuring skills in the world’s most spectacular and extreme environments. The concept store will allow customers to arrange planning appointments with the expedition team and discover more about these truly transformational experiences – which range from 5-13 day Polar and Scandinavian expeditions.

The store will also hold a comprehensive selection of Shackleton’s London-designed high performance apparel, from expedition-grade winter parkas and down layers to Italian-made merino and lambswool sweaters and accessories.

Of the new seasonal concept store launch, Martin Brooks, Co-Founder of Shackleton, said:

“We have a powerful brand with a unique story, married to our range of high-performance expedition-grade apparel and an exciting expedition travel offering. Now our job is to extend our reach and connect all of this to as many people as possible. Regent Street is an outstanding, iconic location that delivers both quality and quantity of audience in spades.”
