The expert panel of judges included senior marketers from major retailers and brands including PepsiCo, Boots, Unilever, Vodafone, L’Oreal and Tesco.

Of the Revolution Hero Display within beauty retailer Superdrug, the judges said:
“A great brand activation that creates a true shopper-enhancing experience, enabling customers to browse, trial and get product demonstrations. The unit is also designed so that it is easy to replenish and update product details. Client feedback indicates that the interactive experience is driving multiple purchases.”

And of the Revolution Pro Display, also implemented within the Superdrug store estate, the judges said: “Cleverly designed to fit within the constraints of existing infrastructures, the design incorporated modular options to provide scalability and maximise placement. It also achieved the premium look and feel so important in this sector.”

Of arken’s winning “Sustainability Award” entry, the judges said: “Clearly designed to reduce the long-term card footprint (of in-store display) and longevity – a strong example of sustainability being top of mind,” praising the decision to re-use previous unit components, with the addition of minimum parts to refresh the look, without compromising overall design and in-store impact.

The POPAI Awards are organised by retail marketing industry association POPAI (Point-Of-Purchase International) UK & Ireland. The awards recognise retail display agencies and their clients demonstrate best practice in point-of-purchase retail activations.
