RBTE partners with Baringa to showcase some of the best in start-up innovation with Start-Up Safaris

Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) has partnered with independent business and technology consultancy, Baringa Partners, to showcase ten leading-edge tech start-ups, whose innovative and disruptive solutions are set to revolutionise the retail sector.

As part of the expo’s commitment to showcasing new, cutting-edge technologies and championing the start-up community, RBTE and Baringa have curated their ten ‘best picks’ of the start-up tech on display at the show, which runs from 2nd – 3rd May at London’s Olympia.

Visitors to RBTE can discover what disruptive tech is being exhibited by registering in advance to join a hosted Start-Up Safari tour, each led by an independent consultant from Baringa, and explore what’s next in retail’s revolution.

Just some of the RBTE and Baringa Start Up Safari line-up, includes:

  • Stowga: – The Airbnb of warehousing, Stowga is a B2B online marketplace that allows warehouses with spare capacity to connect with businesses requiring storage space
  • Trunomi: A really topical and exciting concept that helps retailers manage customer consent for the use of their data, allowing them to build trust with customers as well as ensuring they remain GDPR compliant.
  • Hoxton Analytics: Use cutting-edge technology, based on footfall, to provide the same level of analysis of customer behaviour that is available online. This technique allows retailers a previously untapped and accurate view of what customers are doing in store.
  • Increasingly:  An award-winning start-up, uses machine learning and AI to create product bundles for customers, to increase cross-selling and improve customer experience.

Matt Bradley, Show Director for RBTE, commented, “Innovation is critical to the success of modern multichannel retailing – it’s a key battleground and one where the tech start-up community plays a crucial role in championing innovation and challenging current thinking.  Its new approaches, paired with technical flair, entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to turn the status quo on its head, that see start-up solutions and services driving positive change in retail.”

“And this is exactly why we’ve made an even greater commitment to supporting and showcasing start-up tech businesses at this year’s expo, whether it’s through the Safaris or as part of the INSERT NUMBER of exhibitors featured in the Discovery Zone,” he concluded.

Lucy Larkin, Partner in Baringa’s Consumer Products and Retail practice, added “We have created a group of the strongest start-ups across a variety of Retail functions. We have gone for more mature start-ups who are ready to work with Tier 1 retailers, but at the same time offer something fresh, new and exciting. We hope that this will give retailers and the RBTE a great, thought provoking experience on the Start-Up Safari, whether their background is technology or business, Store Operations, HR, Digital or Supply Chain.“
