RBTE and BT showcase The Digital Store at this year’s expo

Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) has partnered with BT to showcase a digital store at this year’s expo. The Digital Store, inspired by BT and its ecosystem of retail partners, will showcase how forward-looking, innovative retail capabilities will drive immersive and engaging shopping encounters enabled by agile and dynamic networks.

With Forrester predicting that digitally-influenced sales will account for 38% of total retail sales by 2021, The Digital Store from BT, hosted on stand L100, looks to how retailers can use technology to digitalise the in-store experience, enabling bricks-and-mortar to remain ahead of the connected customers’ expectation curve in order to drive loyalty, increase sales and improve operational efficiencies.

Combining the building blocks for managing digital content, merchandise, store associates and customer engagement, The Digital Store is underpinned by the IoT capabilities and intelligent retail infrastructure needed to reimagine the role of physical stores in omnichannel shopping and digitise in-store encounters.
