Proportion London X Blacks Visual – Emporia

Proportion’s new showroom titled ‘emporia’ represents the modern-day emporium. The show serves as a reminder of the importance of exceptional visual merchandising and the artistry required to achieve it. Fashion is at the heart of the merchandise mix, accompanied by homeware, kitchenware, stationery and tableware that are displayed using multi-purpose equipment through different methods and techniques.

Emporia explores the complexities of defining VM strategies and brings them to life through a variety of presentation kit that is designed and executed with the utmost creativity, quality and value. Exquisite attention to detail is used to style the show’s product mix, with the help of Proportion’s collaborative partners, Blacks Visual, who have made creative concepts a reality for retailers such as Mulberry, Topshop and Reiss.

Open-plan rooms divide the exhibit according to product focus and theme. The first area boasts a bright lifestyle mix of china, linens, jewellery and clothing, embodying maximalism and extravagance. In the next space, bust forms displaying male and female fashions suspend from space-maximising hanging systems. Below the impressive ceiling presentation sit Blacks’ innovative tables complete with recesses that house Proportion’s new multi-purpose tray systems showcasing clothing, footwear and accessories.

The latter half of the show space is separated by Blacks’ wax-thread-strung room divider which leads to the presentation of premium stationery and small leathers, using luxury materials such as faux suede and embossed, leather-look, premium paper. A homeware station further explores modern display techniques where suspended articulated hands wittily clutch whisks and tea towels. The story concludes with the display of children and baby clothing using Proportion’s newly extended Harlequin family figures that include a shapely maternity mannequin to complete the popular collection.
