Propability recreates Fantastic Beasts & Harry Potter for Noble Collection at Hamleys

In an amazingly detailed series of windows, scenes of Harry Potter and the Fantastic Beasts films have been reconstructed. The design process handled by Propability, as well as teams from Warner Brothers, Noble and Hamleys took months to come to fruition.

One window, based on the Fantastic Beasts bank scene, features a scenically painted layered back drop of the elaborate fret-cut bank tellers screen. In the foreground are various sourced props including a desk and lamp. The desk was stripped back and re stained with the handles replaced with brass cup handles. The lamp was made from two different reconditioned lamps and stacks of books in specific colours were sourced with some given new covers and printed spines. A stack of bank papers painstakingly joined together with butterfly clips and tape along with random papers were printed to look like accounts sheets. A battered old suitcase and faux gold coins completed the dressing.

Another window shows a platform from Kings Cross station with faux semi-relief brickwork painted in grey and white shades rather than the red brick in the film. Arches were layered on to the main wall structure that completely ran the width of the window. Sourced suitcases were cleaned and reconditioned in particular shades. Parcels were also made in specific shades, reinforced inside to allow for product to be displayed on them.

Finally, a large scenically painted cut out of the Hogwarts castle together with hand-strung wands suspended on black wires are featured alongside white plinths at the front of another window showcasing other products from the Harry Potter range in store.
