The world’s largest annual consumer voted award, Product of the Year, has announced that entries for its 2020 awards are now open, with the deadline for submissions on 31st July 2019.

Voted for by over 10,000 UK shoppers, the awards are designed to celebrate quality innovations across a wide range of categories and now in its 16th year, the famous red logo has become a signpost trusted by UK shoppers, with 86% more likely to buy a product if it displays the Product of the Year seal of approval. Winning brands see an average sales increase of 10-15%, with some seeing uplifts as high as 135%.

Use of the logo across multiple communication platforms such as TV, digital, social and in store, provides brands with the unrivalled opportunity to stand out in crowded marketplaces and ensures greater visibility on shelves.
Just four months on from the 2019 awards, winning brands have already enjoyed sales uplifts, including winner of the Protein Bar category, Grenade Carb Killa, who commented: “We’re so pleased to see Grenade Carb Killa receive the Product of the Year 2019 Award. The 2019 awards marked the 15th anniversary of Product of the Year, with voters selecting winners across more categories than ever before, with 51 winners chosen from grocery to beauty, pet care and technology sectors. Next January the awards will take place once again and the winners of the survey conducted independently by Kantar TNS, one of the world’s leading research agencies, will be announced.

The awards are open to all products across a wide range of categories, launched in the UK in the past 18 months. All products undergo an independent judging process before being voted for by consumers. The overall winners will be invited to celebrate together at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel on January 23rd 2020.
