The online personalised gift retailer, GiftsOnline4U has donated funds for a clean water charity.

The Spalding-based, family-run business partnered with the non-profit organisation WaterHarvest in June 2020, and in just nine months they have raised £1500.

GiftsOnline4U chose a selection of dedicated gifts, and the profits of each gift sold were donated to WaterHarvest. The money will be used to build rainwater harvesting structures that collect rainwater during the monsoon season.

This is an incredibly important mission, as harvesting rainwater provides clean, year-round drinking water for vulnerable families in remote regions.

£1500 is enough for approximately 3 rainwater harvesting systems.

GiftsOnline4U is dedicated to raising more money for WaterHarvest in the future, with a goal of £3000 by the end of the year, which would provide 6 rainwater harvesting systems for communities.

GiftsOnline4U’s Asgar Dungarwalla said: “WaterHarvest is a charity that is particularly close to our hearts for many reasons.

“We are a family of Indian heritage, and as WaterHarvest is based in India, we feel it is something that hits closer to home.

“Also, not only does their mission statement reflect our team’s ethos, it is also imperative that we look out for those who are less fortunate during these difficult times.

“The pandemic has had a huge impact on billions of people across the world, but we need to make sure we’re lending a helping hand to those who don’t even have the basic necessities for survival.

“It makes us so happy to know that we can provide personalised gifts for the UK during a time when kind actions go even further than usual, but at the same time, be contributing to an amazing cause.

“We hope to see plenty of funds being donated to WaterHarvest throughout the rest of the year!”
