Paris Retail Week 2018: a spotlight on Smart Phygital

The fourth edition of Paris Retail Week will take place from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th September 2018 in Pavilion 1 at Paris expo Porte de Versailles.

Having confirmed its status as the key event in the retail sector, this year Paris Retail Week will showcase the entire full-circle business value chain: new distribution models, layout and design, consumer journey, web-to-store and store-to-web, CRM, omnichannel, shopper marketing, agile logistics and more.

Over three days, the French capital will host the most experiential and connected commerce, bringing together 800 participating companies and 40,000 professionals from the retail sector.

The theme of this edition will emphasise the ‘Smart Phygital’: the global and agile retail ecosystem.  Retailers have shown their unfailing sense of adaptation. Retail today is SMART; from brick and mortar stores to pure-play etailers, not to mention the integration of mobile and social commerce.

Smart retailers learn from and grasp the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence to continuously improve the customer experience. The arrival of the Phygital era confirms (at last!) the marriage of on-and-offline retail.

The flagship event of the season will present solutions, services and products to professionals in the sector, looking for innovative providers in:

The 2018 highlights that are not be missed include:

  • More than 200 conferences, workshops and keynote speeches free to access and aimed at visitors from across Europe. Confirmed speakers include; representatives from Google, Facebook, Adidas, Monoprix, Etam group and Forrester.
  • Personal introductions for exhibitors and visitors through prescheduled Business Meetings.
  • Various activities for a Smart Phygital experience via virtual and augmented reality displays, including an immersive 360° and VR gaming space.
  • The Viva Le Store area which will highlight the latest innovations by exhibitors in the Layout/Equipment/POS Marketing area, in a fun and experiential atmosphere.
  • The Paris Retail Awards ceremony on Monday 10th September – a real moment of acknowledgement for solution providers, brands and e-retailers.
