LIVERPOOL ONE SLIDES INTO SUMMER

On July 29, Liverpool ONE unveiled its latest summer enlivenment activity; a giant slide connecting the ground and first floor levels of the retail destination owned and managed by Grosvenor Europe.

The five metre-high and 10.1 metre-long Liverpool ONE red slide* is located outside the All Saints store in Upper South John Street and finishes with an AstroTurf landing next to the LEGO store in Lower South John Street.

Open until September 8, the free activation occurs alongside Liverpool ONE’s Summer of Champions, a full schedule of free sporting events on Chavasse Park including the Hexagol® pod, allowing youngsters to hone their football skills.

Donna Howitt, Marketing and Communications Director at Liverpool ONE, commented: “This fun-filled slide activation, the first of its kind to be installed at the destination, adds to an incredibly exciting summer at Liverpool ONE. With the school holidays well underway, we’re pleased to offer this busy schedule of memorable enlivement initatives to families within our catchment and beyond.”

As part of the Summer of Champions, Liverpool ONE is offering local clubs the chance to each win £1,000 towards their costs in a bid to support local grassroots sports.
The activity follows Liverpool ONE’s ‘Dinosaurs Unleashed’ augmented reality campaign in spring, incorporating a specially-designed app which allowed users to interact with prehistoric creatures throughout the destination. Newly released data has shown the physical-digital concept boost visitation, sales performance and dwell time, contradicting national averages for the same period.
