Lifestyle Outlets appoints Carousel to manage its corporate communications

Lifestyle Outlets has appointed Manchester based Carousel to manage its corporate media relations following a three-way pitch.

The brief comes at a very exciting time for the business as it enters a transitional period of development and change. Carousel has been brought in to help the business communicate its proven success story, bucking the national retail trend of declining high street lettings and footfall, thanks to its unique outlet model which focusses on place making and creating destinations with soul that customers want to visit.

Lifestyle Outlets has three sites, its flagship Gloucester Quays site, the Lowry Outlet, which is currently part of a major development programme as work begins on The Watergardens a water facing, leisure development and Glasgow Harbour which is in development.

Jack Rigby, account director at Carousel said: “This is an exciting time to tell the Lifestyle Outlets story. The business is going through major change and has developed a unique proposition which is delivering results with footfall and sales up year-on-year. This comes against a tricky national retail climate which has seen multiple closures of major high street brands, declining footfall and CVAs. Our response is all about championing that story through tactical hardworking media relations.”

Alison Tennant, Chief Marketing Officer for Lifestyle Outlets said: “Whilst many other operators are talking closures and decline – we’re in a unique position to be talking about exciting change, new tenants, further investment and increases in sales and footfall. Carousel’s response was anchored in helping the business tell this story, further developing the Lifestyle Outlets brand and supporting the future growth of the business.”
