H&M Bullring Now Open

H&M Bullring Birmingham reopened its doors at 11am yesterday morning (31st October). Over 500 customers queued from 9am to be amongst the first to shop the all new H&M store, as well as the UK’s first H&M HOME Concept Store outside of London.

The 2000 square meter H&M fashion store has been given a full interior update, reopening with a neighborhood store look and feel. H&M Bullring shares its premises with an H&M HOME Concept Store that trades from the top floor of the unit, with customers able to move between the two stores via internal escalators.

The H&M fashion collections will be presented in a different way in this store, with a reduced product volume on the shop floor and minimalist point of sale materials to allow the garments to take centre stage. H&M Bullring has also reopened with warmer and more welcoming interior, and a more relaxed environment for customers with an increased number of dwell spots throughout the store.

Customers shopping at H&M Bullring yesterday were welcome to peruse the available fashion collections while enjoying the latest tracks from an in-store DJ, and a pop-up beauty bar by Blow Birmingham who offered complimentary makeup and nail services. Face painting was also available to younger visitors, and these activities were all offered free of charge to H&M members. Furthermore, Screen Print Workshop by 3rd Rail offered screen printing throughout the opening day, with customers able to choose one of four designs to have printed onto any suitable item purchased in H&M Bullring.

Toni Galli, Country Manager for H&M UK & IE said: “It was tremendously exciting to reopen the doors to our Bullring store today. It’s been great to watch our first customers exploring the new store and enjoying the celebrations we have arranged. We hope that customers that couldn’t make it down today will be able to visit us tomorrow or Saturday, when they will still be able to enjoy makeup and nails courtesy of Blow, or face painting for our younger visitors.”

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson, said: “The fact that H&M has decided to open its first H&M HOME concept store outside London at Bullring is testament to the strength and popularity of the destination, and the work we’ve done to make the Bullring Estate as attractive and engaging for consumers as possible. H&M’s store in Bullring has been a huge draw for a number of years, and the addition of H&M HOME is sure to drive footfall still further.”
