Confectionery wholesaler Hancocks is relaunching its Newcastle store with a big instore event to mark the occasion.
The depot, based in Chester Le Street, has been upgraded ahead of its grand reopening on 12th August.
The store attracts customers from across the North East including independent retailers, convenience store owners, online sweet stores, bakers and leisure industries which are now back open for business.
Suppliers from across the UK, local retailers and customers will all be attending the reopening event at the Newcastle depot alongside the team from Hancocks.
Over 100 amazing offers will be available for one day only and prizes and giveaways will be running throughout the day.
The Shmoo Milkshake Truck will be there along with representatives from major confectionery brands Nestle, Swizzels and Haribo.
As part of its upgrade, the interior of the store has been given a new reception area to greet customers and answer queries and new racking throughout.
Checkouts, aisle end boards, promotion areas and lighting have all been replaced to make the customer experience even better, and the store has been painted inside and out.
The Newcastle store is one of 14 in the Hancocks store portfolio across the UK.
Hancocks Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan Summerley, who will be at the reopening, said: “The last 18 months has been tough for businesses across the UK. Whilst online has boomed for everyone, investing in bricks and mortar stores is equally important and that’s something we’re committed to at Hancocks.
“Our depots have always been an essential part of our business and many of our customers still prefer to purchase in this traditional way. They can also benefit from the years of experience and knowledge our dedicated teams have when it comes to confectionery, find out about the trends in the marketplace, discover up and coming brands and of course take advantage of all our great deals and offers.”
Jonathan continued: “We’re delighted with the revamped Newcastle store and are looking forward to welcoming customers back in. The upgrades we’ve made will make the shopping experience even better for them.
“Our team will also be working hard to attract new customers. As a confectionery only wholesaler, we really can offer local independent retailers, bakers, online sweet sellers and those operating in the leisure sector, all the sweet treats they need at great prices.”
