Cash Converters stores due to reopen from June 15th

Cash Converters stores across England are set to begin re-opening from June 15th, with extra safety precautions in place to protect customers and staff

Shoppers are being reassured they can buy with confidence as every store reopening will adhere to strict safety and preventative measures, including new signage and social distancing

Cash Converters stores will begin reopening across England from Monday, 15th June 2020.

Cash Converters teams across the country are currently preparing to welcome customers back in store now the government has announced that non-essential retail stores are able to reopen from June 15th.

Intense preparations are underway to ensure all stores are ‘COVID-secure’ when they reopen for customers. These precautions are being made to maintain customer and staff safety, ensure social distancing and to limit the spread of the virus.

For now, Cash Converters stores in Scotland and Wales will remain closed until further guidance is received from the Scottish and Welsh governments.

To coincide with the phased reopening of stores, the Cash Converters webshop – – will also reopen from Monday 15th June and will be available to customers across the whole of the UK, including Scotland and Wales.

“We know our customers are as keen as we are to ensure we reopen quickly but safely, and that has been an absolutely critical part of our work to get ready for a phased reopening from June 15th,” said Peter Hall, UK CEO of Cash Converters.

“We’re the number one high street retailer of pre-owned goods and people rely on us being there for them, so we want to return to our local communities as soon as possible and once again offer the products and services our customers need. We want customers to know they can buy from us with confidence, and we will have all necessary protections and social distancing measures in place once we’re open again.”

Once opened, Cash Converters stores are expecting a surge in retail spending following the lockdown period, with bikes, musical instruments, laptops, phones and leisure equipment expected to sell fast in the first few weeks.

“We’ve always sold large volumes of bikes, fishing equipment, musical instruments and tech pieces, so we’re expecting these to be in high demand over the coming weeks – particularly as access to retail stores has been restricted for such a long time,” added Peter. “I know many of our stores are ensuring these items are available for customers to buy as soon as our doors are open.”

To support customers who have had items held in store during lockdown –  using its pawnbroking, layby or buyback services – Cash Converters has also pledged to continue to hold them securely and customers will not incur any additional fees if their redemption date is within the period when stores were closed. Once stores have reopened, customers are also being offered ten calendar days to redeem or extend their buyback items.

Cash Converters is a franchised retailer with 196 outlets throughout the country.

It also operates online with stores uploading their available items on a daily basis, beginning once more on Monday, 15th June. Customers can visit to view the selection of products available to buy.
