Railpen, the investment manager for the £37bn Railways Pension Scheme, has announced Animal, a coastal lifestyle clothing brand, has opened its first UK outlet store at Caledonia Park, Scotland’s premier designer village.

Animal has taken a 1,504 sq ft unit adjacent to Skopes. The outlet store, which opened this month, stocks a range of Animal’s most popular pieces, including menswear, womenswear, accessories, and footwear created for coastal adventures.

Matthew Howard, Head of Property Asset Management at Railpen, also added: “Securing an outlet first for such a well-known and reputable brand elevates Caledonia Park’s offer to new heights and highlights Railpen’s ability to continually diversify the destination’s line-up. Last year, Caledonia Park signed the first outlet store for Johnston’s of Elgin following our extensive revitalisation of the scheme, and it’s great to see this momentum continuing and prompting other brands to make the same move.”

Founded in 1987, Animal has built on its board sports heritage over three decades, becoming a leading lifestyle clothing brand for all seasons. The brand combines passion for adventure with a contemporary and authentic style, with its store design taking inspiration from its coastal beginnings. As part of its continued evolution, Animal is on a mission to be kinder to the planet. The brand partners with well established sustainable partners such as ECOVERO™ and TENCEL™ Lyocell, as well as increasing the amount of Organic Cotton and recycled materials in its range.

Johnstone Property and Time Retail Partners acted for Caledonia Park. Animal dealt direct.
