YO! Sushi taking Philip Watts Design Stateside

YO! Sushi are to open their first restaurant in America, and have appointed Philip Watts Design to design this exciting new restaurant.

The site, in Washington DC at Union Station, is due to open in March/April this year and will combine some classic Yo! Sushi features, but with the infamous PWD influences.

There will be tonal reds and oranges throughout, especially evident in a deconstructed ceiling raft with a gloss finish. The walls will be adorned with a mix of vertical cedar strips, a crazy paving style stone finish and Japanese inspired graphics.

Philip Watts commented, “We are incredibly excited and honoured to be designing the first YO! in the states. This represents a real challenge for us, and we know we can bring a bit of PWD magic to the American diners.”
