Westfield announces a host of new openings across its London centres

The two centres continue to be in high demand for retail space generating annual sales of £2.1bn from over 70 million annual customer visits.


Following on from Westfield’s recent announcement on a multimillion pound investment into upgrades of the luxury quarter, The Village at Westfield London, several exciting new stores will open at the centre.

A 672 sq. ft. Anya Hindmarch store has recently opened, featuring the designer’s latest collection including a limited-edition 18ct gold crisp packet clutch.

Later in the year further additions will also be added to the centre’s luxury offering including the expansion of Hugo Boss to a new 6,424 sq. ft. store and the opening of Belstaff – the British Heritage fashion retailer.

As part of the investment plans, Spanish retailer Zara will refurbish and expand its existing store by taking on an additional 9,300 sq. ft. of Gross Internal Area (GIA) to expand to over 31,000 sq.ft. (GIA). The store is expected to open before the end of the year.

The centre will also welcome a number of new food outlets, offering shoppers tastes from around the globe. Dim Sum restaurant Ping Pong will open a new 4,849 sq. ft. store, making it one of its largest sites in the capital. Italian restaurant Zizzi will also open a new 3,319 sq. ft. site.


Situated just outside Chestnut Plaza on The Street, Thomson has opened its first ever London-based Holiday Design Store – Tui (Thomson) at Westfield Stratford City.  The new concept store will enhance the customer booking experience though the use of digital technology. Customers will be able to view live weather information, read reviews and view videos of destinations and hotels on the interactive high definition screens available.  An 84” touch screen map and a digital holiday mood board will also be introduced to help eager holidaymakers decide where they would like to go.

From November, customers can enjoy the tastes of the Caribbean, as the first ever Levi Roots restaurant opens.  In addition, Rush Hair & Beauty recently opened its newest flagship store in London and their fifth salon of the year on The Street at Westfield Stratford City, demonstrating the high customer demand for a mixture of leisure and retail at shopping destinations.
