Biggest Cards & Payments Show in Europe for over Five Years

16-17th March, Earls Court

Vendorcom, the Cards & Payments Community, is pleased to announce its conference programme for Cards & Payments Solutions 2011 at Earls Court on 16th-17th March. Cards & Payments Solutions 2011 was no more than a dream 12 months ago, yet it has turned into what will be the largest and most important gathering of cards and payments industry solutions providers and retailers that Europe has seen for over five years.

“The wide range of Vendorcom members who are involved in the Cards & Payments Solutions exhibition reflects the fact that there is a lot going on in the world of cards and payments at the moment.” Comments Paul Rodgers, Chairman of Vendorcom. “Whether visitors want to understand more about some of the ground-breaking launches and innovations, need to delve into the detail of emerging technologies and industry standards or simply catch up with solution providers for a specific business requirement, they’ll have every opportunity under one roof.”

The Vendorcom Thought Leadership Conference on 16th March is offering a strong programme of authoritative, educational, and challenging information. With two keynote presentations giving a picture of the importance of cards and payments followed by presentations on PCI and payment security, payment strategy, and innovation, the Conference will address some of the most important issues currently facing the sector.

Paul Smee, CEO of the Payment Council commenting on his keynote speech for the Vendorcom Conference says: ‘The importance of cards and payments to the national economy, both in terms of its efficient processing of payments and the reliance that retailers and consumers place in it, should not be undervalued. This conference places much needed focus on this fast moving area.’

Nick Ogden, CEO of Voice Commerce Group, another keynote speaker, drives this message home; ‘The cards and payments industry has come a long way in the five years since Chip & PIN was mandated. New global standards, the Payment Services Directive and increased opportunities for innovation have revolutionised the options that retailers and merchants have at their disposal as they seek to provide a more efficient and secure means of accepting payments from consumers.’

The Retailer Briefings on 17th March will provide a whistle-stop tour through the leading aspects of Contactless & Mobile Payments, PCI & Payment Security, and eCommerce Payments.

With the exhibition concentrated in the area between the show entrance and the Vendorcom Cards & Payments Theatre, it’s easy to navigate your way around – from acquirers to card schemes, comms networks to security assessors, payment terminal providers to consultancies, payment processing to fraud prevention solutions.

Paul Rodgers further comments “The pent up demand for a dedicated Cards & Payments event has been underlined by the strength of the exhibition and the rush for conference registrations. This is lining up to be a very significant event for the industry.”
