Triplar backs new Award for retailing family businesses



The search is on to find the top Midlands-based family business in the retail sector in a new dedicated category in the regions’ only independent, not-for-profit Awards for family businesses.


The new Retail Excellence category is sponsored by independent retail display, shopfitting and commercial interiors specialist, Triplar, a family-owned business established over thirty years ago.

Triplar is excited to sponsor the Awards’ Retail Excellence category as it gives us an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with other companies who share our family values and spirit.”


The category is one of ten in the 2013 Midlands Family Business Awards, details of which were unveiled at launch events across the Midlands on the 25th April. The new category has been created to recognise the innovation and successes of family businesses and leaders operating in the retail arena.


The Awards are the only initiative in the Midlands to recognise and celebrate family businesses and their advisors and were created and are underwritten by insurance and financial advisory firm The Wilson Organisation, itself a third generation family business.


Since their launch in 2010, the Awards have raised more than £15,000 for Midlands-based charities supporting young enterprise and young people. This year the Awards are raising funds for The Outward Bound Trust, an educational charity dedicated to unlocking the potential in young people through learning and adventure in the wild.


Retailers of any size or type are encouraged to enter the category in the 2013 Awards. It is completely free to enter, and submissions can be made from the 1st May, with forms available from the website:
