The RBTE 2013 seminar and conference call for papers is open!

Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE), one of Europe’s biggest and fastest growing retail shows has launched its search for the very best content for its 2013 educational programme, opening its stage to retail industry leaders, with the seminar and conference call for papers now open for RBTE 2013.

Speakers at the 2013 event will follow in the footsteps of high profile presenters such as Paul Coby, IT Director, John Lewis; Mark Fabes, IT Director, McDonald’s; Joanna Brazier, Multichannel Programme Director, John Lewis; Peter Fitzgerald, Country Sales Director, Google and Bas Spierenburg, CRM Director, Tommy Hilfiger, who alongside the top level speaker line up at RBTE 2012 attracted 1000’s of attendees to the FREE conference and seminar programme.

Nick Field, event director, RBTE, said, “RBTE provides the platform for industry experts to set the agenda.  We’re looking for the most innovative and thought provoking speakers covering new ideas and topics which will appeal to the broad range of job functions that the show attracts.  RBTE is for the whole team, from the CEO to managers,  and not just the IT Department, with visitors representing all the key business area’s from IT, Marketing, eCommerce, Mobile, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Operations, Payments, Buying, Merchandising, Multichannel, Loss Prevention….. There’s something for everyone.”

With four seminar theatres (not including the two Pecha Kucha theatres) there are plenty of opportunities to hear some of the very best retail content there is to offer – all FREE!   And as the educational programme is the star of a vast marketing campaign, speakers will benefit from an extensive publicity drive, pre and post show.

Field continued, “We’ve had a fantastic line up over the last two years, and will build an even more impressive programme for 2013.  We’ve undertaken extensive research to find out exactly what our visitors want to hear and there’s a huge appetite to hear about how to improve the customer experience, boost customer service, customer attraction and retention, and of course the fight for wallet share!   We’ve been asked to provide a strong focus on multichannel, eCommerce, Home Delivery, Mobile, RFID and Big Data.  We’ve also seen that a lot of ideas are being driven (and funded) by the marketing departments, so we’re looking for more around CRM/Mobile/Loyalty.  International retail is also a key area of interest, and we are committed to at least 20% of our seminars featuring Europe and beyond. This is very diverse range of topics, but the clear message is that innovation is the subject that underpins all of these areas.”

The call for papers deadline is September 24th 2012.  More details and hints and tips on how to submit a proposal can be found at
