Superdry uses one iota to drive social brand awareness

Superdry, the iconic UK fashion retailer, has appointed One iota, a Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer, to deliver a Facebook application to celebrate the launch of their 2012 Autumn and Winter ranges.

 

The bespoke app, which will give one of the brand’s 600,000 fans the opportunity to win a year’s supply of t-shirts for them and two friends, will run throughout October and is designed to increase brand awareness in preparation for the crucial Christmas period.

To be in with a chance of winning Superdry fans must simply nominate their friends via the application, a mechanic designed to make the activity viral. The winner of the competition will be selected at random from all those who participate in the nomination process. The app has been optimised for smartphone devices and is deeply integrated with the Social Open Graph to maximise viral activity, collating and processing rich consumer profile data in the process.
