Shoppercentric Appoints Established Retail Influencer to Support the Company’s Growth

Shoppercentric, an independent agency specialising in shopper behaviour research, has today announced the appointment of Claire Pearson as a Director.

Claire brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the customer insight area to Shoppercentric and will draw upon her ten years of experience gained at retail giants Sainsbury’s, Cadbury and Tesco’s, to make this an even stronger division for the company.

“We’re really looking forward to having Claire on board,” said Danielle Pinnington, Managing Director at Shoppercentric. “With a proven track-record of driving great insight into actions, Claire is truly passionate about how insight underpins business’ interaction with both consumers and shoppers, helping to deliver true commercial advantages. Our clients are going to love her!”

Prior to joining Shoppercentric, Claire was a Senior Insight Manager at Sainsbury’s (in the Customer Insight and Loyalty division) where she managed the team responsible for store development and business performance insight. At Cadbury’s Claire was the Acting Head of Insight where she provided strategic direction at category, customer and channel level to execute positive behaviour changes. She has also held senior insight roles at Tesco.

“The new role presents me with an opportunity to get close to a number of blue chip brands and retailers, and help them to better understand their target markets by predicting and reporting on shopper trends and how it will impact their business,” commented Claire Pearson, Director at Shoppercentric. “It’s an exciting time to be in retail as the shopper evolved significantly in 2011 – they are savvier than ever before and are shopping across a multitude of channels – this is a trend set to continue in 2012. Recognising shopper needs and wants has never been more important, I’m really looking forward to taking on the challenge.”
