Sennheiser Take the Worry out of Online Shopping

Protecting its consumers from the growing threat of counterfeit goods over the web, Sennheiser has become the first consumer electronics company to join Brand-i; a website directory dedicated to listing approved web-stores selling genuine products.

Headphone specialist Sennheiser has been leading the charge against poor quality and counterfeit headphones for years. The partnership with Brand-i reinforces its efforts to ensure Sennheiser customers can purchase the best quality products online, and experience the best quality sound.

Steve Dalton, Marketing Manager at Sennheiser UK, commented: “This is another step forward for Sennheiser in combating the problem of counterfeit headphones. Our brand and products stand for the highest quality, so when customers are purchasing fake Sennheiser’s, and experience their poor quality, it affects both them and us.”

Online counterfeiting and illegal shopping sites are a growing trend, with an estimated £82 billion spent each year on counterfeit goods. Brand-i was set up to provide consumers with a forum where they can search for secure and legal web-stores to purchase legitimate goods. The site works with its partners to list reliable web-stores, and enables its users to report suspicious sites. Brands such as Sennheiser have their own page that lists genuine stockists of their products for consumers to use.

The Brand-i directory is free to use, and has the backing of the Trading Standards Institute, the Industry Trust and FACT, amongst others.

Sennheiser also provides a list of registered dealers and stockists, so that consumers can be directed to a legitimate and reliable source for Sennheiser products. This list can be found here:
