Retail Giants To Judge National Startups Awards
Cath Kidston MBE, Holly Tucker MBE and Nick Wheeler join panel of 24 leading entrepreneurs and businesspeople.
Three retail luminaries are to judge the UK’s most successful start-up businesses, as part of the judging panel for the Startups Awards 2015.
Cath Kidston MBE, head of the eponymous global fashion brand will judge this year’s entries alongside Holly Tucker MBE of notonthehighstreet.com and Nick Wheeler of Charles Tyrwhitt.
Now in their 12th year, the Awards recognise Britain’s newest businesses which have been trading for four years or less.
With previous winners including Ella’s Kitchen, The Cambridge Satchel Company, NotOnTheHighstreet.com and Secret Escapes, the Startups Awards are widely regarded as being the launch-pad for some of the nation’s greatest home-grown business talent.
Each of these retail moguls has been vital to the success of their respective companies and will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the judging process.
With entries rolling in from start-ups up and down the country, hoping to claim one of the 15 awards up for grabs, this year’s judges are facing plenty of tough decisions.
David Lester, founder of Startups.co.uk, comments: “We are honoured to have three such highly respected retail giants judging the 2015 Startups Awards. All three are highly-esteemed in the retail world – and ideally placed to identify those businesses that are truly setting the tone for the UK start-up market.
“The Startups Awards is the only national awards scheme celebrating fresh, new businesses, so it is fitting that we have some of the brightest names in business on our judging panel. With our latest addition, this is set to be our strongest judging panel to date!”

• Simon Franks, co-founder of LOVEFiLM
• David Buttress, CEO, JUST EAT
