Payments in the spotlight at RBTE 2016

London, 24th June 2015, RBTE, Europe’s largest retail solutions gathering will be putting an even greater focus on the topic of payments for its 2016 event.  Since its launch RBTE has been the leading merchant facing payments exhibition with over 40 retail payments specialists exhibiting and a dedicated payments conference theatre as part of its overall offering.  In 2016 however RBTE will have a greatly increased focus on payments.  This relevant and inspirational programme together with the many payment innovations to be found amongst the payments specialist exhibitors will make the event even more irresistible to the retail payments community.

RBTE’s dedicated Payments Theatre is being curated by RBTE’s Payments Expert Mark McMurtrie and will feature numerous retailers together with other payment industry experts to cover all the essential issues being faced in the current highly innovative and disruptive payments market.

“RBTE has become the premier UK event for retailers looking to discover the latest business and technology solutions and meet new suppliers and payments is a major reason for their visit” says Mark McMurtrie, RBTE’s payments expert.  “Any company supplying payment products and services to retailers should make RBTE a key element of their sales and marketing plan. There is no other comparable UK retail event for lead generation and brand awareness purposes.”

Matt Bradley, RBTE Event Director said, “With more happening in the payments sector than ever before, retailers from across the UK and Europe are visiting RBTE to hear all the payments news, check out the latest products/services and meet with existing and discover new suppliers.  Payments is a key focus area for RBTE and has been for the last five years. No other UK event has more payments companies exhibiting their solutions under one roof and we address the importance of consumer payments to retailers and their customers.”

RBTE caters for all stakeholders within the payments ecosystem including international schemes, acquirers, PSPs, ISOs, software suppliers, mobile payments, terminal manufacturers, stored value, foreign currency, and cash management systems.

Bradley continued, “Exhibitors at RBTE achieve both increased brand awareness and lead generation results to fill their sales funnel.   Sitting at the heart of the retail ecosystem there is no better place to identify new partners and resellers than RBTE.”

“We attended RBTE for the first time this year and found the event extremely productive and we have already booked another stand for 2016. The show gave us the opportunity to speak with a number of major retailers and acquirers that visited our stand throughout the two day event. A common theme in our discussions was the challenge of upgrading payment terminal estates to support contactless and NFC technology as consumer adoption grows, and reconciling this with future opportunities around mPOS,” said

Nigel Dean M.Eng, Marketing Director, Spire Payments
