NESPRESSO BREWS UP AT TOUCHWOOD

Lend Lease Retail Partnership (LLRP), a fund managed by Lendlease, has today announced Nespresso, the market leader in premium portioned coffee, has opened a new boutique store at Touchwood – the West Midlands’ top retail destination.

The 2,000 sq ft store, located on Crescent Arcade, offers Nespresso’s full range of coffee capsules, alongside festive variations to coincide with the start of the Christmas season.  The boutique will offer in-store activities including an Atelier Table for tastings, with a coffee specialist on hand to assist shoppers in exploring the range further.  Visitors can taste two coffees side-by-side to better understand their aroma preferences and explore Nespresso’s entire range of Original and Vertuo coffees.

The overall design concept for the boutique was designed by award-winning architecture and interior design practice, Universal Design Studio, founded by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.  In line with Nespresso’s deep commitment to sustainability, the store design features tabletops made of used coffee grounds from the brand’s factory in Switzerland, and wood sourced from Nespresso’s reforestation programs on coffee farms.

Commenting on the addition of Nespresso to Touchwood, Guy Thomas, Head of Retail at Lendlease said: “We are delighted to have welcomed a leading name in coffee to Touchwood.  The stylish and premium new boutique offers the complete Nespresso range, with tastings creating an experiential line-up providing something new and exciting for visitors. The UK is a nation of coffee lovers and this latest addition is sure to be hugely popular and complement our existing retail mix.”

Francisco Nogueira, Nespresso UK & Ireland Managing Director, said:

“We have launched our new Nespresso Boutique in Solihull Touchwood Shopping Centre and we are delighted to invite shoppers to taste and learn about Nespresso Original and Vertuo coffees, machines and accessories. Our retail expansion continues to be a priority and we want to bring the Nespresso experience to as many people across the UK and Ireland as possible, expanding coffee knowledge and providing the opportunity to learn from our coffee specialists.”

CBRE and Strutt & Parker represented Touchwood.
