Neil Mitchenall Receives ICSC 2012 Distinguished Service Award

The trustees of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) are pleased to announce that Neil Mitchenall, consultant, Lunson Mitchenall, London, United Kingdom, has received the ICSC Distinguished Service Award.  The award is presented to ICSC members who have made special contributions to the industry and distinguished themselves as leaders within the organisation.  The award was presented on Monday, May 21 during ICSC’s RECon Convention.

 

“Neil has tirelessly given back to the industry and enhanced the quality of our organization by providing outstanding service programs and by serving as a committee chair, faculty member, speaker and leader,” said Michael P. Kercheval, president and chief executive officer for ICSC.  “We are honored to have him as a member,” added Kercheval.

 

Neil Mitchenall, has been affiliated with ICSC for over 20 years, joining the organization in 1991.  Currently he holds the position as consultant for Lunson Mitchenall based in London, United Kingdom.  Throughout his career Mr. Mitchenall has been considered an expert in shopping center development and design having worked with clients such as Land Securities, Hammerson, Prudential, Selfridges, Marks & Spencer, Argent/Hermes, Capital Shopping Centres, The Southbank Company, and Grosvenor.  Mr. Mitchenall offers his expertise volunteering with ICSC in roles such as chairman of the European Shopping Centre Trust; chairman of the Leasing Specialist Group; a member of the European VIP Committee, past chairman of the European Awards Jury, and has served on the European Board.

 

Founded in 1957, ICSC is the premier global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its 60,000 members in over 90 countries include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers, and brokers, as well as academics and public officials.
