National Retail Federation to Showcase Specialty Pavilion at Retail Business Technology Expo in London

The National Retail Federation, along with its technology standards division, the Association for Retail Technology Standards, and digital division,, will host a special pavilion at the upcoming Retail Business Technology Expo and Cards and Payments Solutions. The event, set to welcome more than 300 major global solution providers and featuring 130 educational seminars and presentations, kicks off March 13 in Earls Court, London. NRF’s pavilion is located at stand 650.


“NRF is one of the only associations in the world with a broad understanding of today’s retail issues and opportunities, and we’re sending our finest executives to London to both learn and share,” said NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay. “We are eager to be a part of the Retail Business Technology Expo, travelling thousands of miles to network with and learn from the other noteworthy retail technology experts from Europe and other countries across the globe who will be in attendance.”


Companies exhibiting in NRF’s pavilion will showcase the latest in retail technologies which are made possible by ARTS’ standards. Featured companies include:


  • Applied Data Corporation will demonstrate InterStore.Net, ARTS recently-released Fresh Item Management software suite designed for grocery and convenience store chains, which tracks food from farm to store and provides tips for reducing shrink through better inventory management
  • Bizerba will work with NCR to showcase state-of-the-art solutions which address retailers’ challenges surrounding maintaining fresh produce and food products
  • NCR will showcase a Web Office that gives retailers access to their point-of-sale system and data from anywhere in their intranet through a browser-based application based on the ARTS Data Model and POSlog
  • PCMS Group, one of the U.K.’s leading independent retail software and service vendors, will display the latest in mobile POS solutions
  • Starmount, one of the first retail software companies to offer mobile POS, will present their mobile shopper application that allows retailers to complete transactions via the mobile device, including purchasing from any store and shipping direct to the customers home.


Also during the event, ARTS Executive Director Richard Mader will present “Leveraging the ARTS Social Commerce Blueprint for Success” on Wednesday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. in Retail Technology Business Theatre A, and, Artemis Berry, Senior Director of Content and Community at will present “Omni-channel Retail: Socialising. Localising.  Mobilising.” on Wednesday, March 14 at 2:40 p.m. in the Retail Technology Business Theatre A.


The two-day event will also play host to the Global Retail Forum meetings, designed to bring together senior retail executives from around the world in a professional network setting. Additionally, the event will host “The Future of Retail – Lighting up the High Street,” an innovative technology showcase highlighting potential future technology trends within the retail industry, around the globe.
