Marketing Week Live Launches Out Of Home Zone

Marketing Week Live has announced that it will launch an “Out of Home Media” Zone as part of its plans for the 2013 event. The new zone and its accompanying Conference programme will be delivered in partnership with trade association and industry promotional body, the Outdoor Media Centre. The zone is the direct result of research at the 2012 event which showed that almost half of show visitors (47%) were likely to engage with an out of home marketing area at the event.

Over 13,300 marketers attended the 2012 event with almost ¾ being manager or director level and controlling annual budgets which averaged £970,000.  Combined with around 500 exhibitors, the Marketing Week Live visitor numbers have established the event as one of Europe’s largest trade gathering for marketers.

Portfolio Director, Paul MacDonald said, “It’s clear that Out of Home in its various forms, whether traditional or digital, is of real interest to our visitors. They are hungry for practical information, meaningful insights and useful contacts to help them understand the opportunities OOH presents. Working with OMC allows us to bring this growing arena to life at the event.”

The OOH zone, which will be situated alongside other new initiatives for 2013, Ask the Agency Experts and Career Development. Other areas in the event cover retail, live marketing, data, insight, digital, promotional merchandise and customer loyalty.

Outdoor Media Centre, CEO, Mike Baker said, “We’re delighted to be partnering with Marketing Week Live on this initiative. Out of Home is a crucial part of the customer journey and working with the event means we can show marketers OOH in its full context. OOH continues to grow and this is a great opportunity for the industry to showcase and promote its talents and effectiveness.”

Marketing Week Live 2013 takes place at Olympia, 26-27th June 2013
