Market leaders join forces to display far more

Bury based notice board manufacturer, Signconex Ltd has merged with Bristol based sign manufacturer Signscape Systems Ltd, as part of an exciting new venture for the sign and visual communications market.

Following discussions earlier in the year, it soon became clear that both companies shared many similarities when it came to their approach to manufacturing and business. Both companies come from long established backgrounds in the sign and visual communications industry, with Signscape emerging from the original Signfix business established in the 1970’s and Signconex growing from the original Signco Ltd company, also formed in the 1970’s. Both companies are respected for their customer focus, offering standard and bespoke products, and specialising in tailoring products to suit different images, locations and applications.

“As soon as we started to discuss a possible alliance, it was clear that by doing so, we could better serve the needs of Signconex and Signscape customers” explained Arthur Moore, Joint Managing Director. “As we share the same ethos it gave us the assurance that both sets of customers would benefit from the additional products and services we will be able to offer going forward.”

Hamish Paterson, Joint Managing Director continued, “The combined company will continue to provide the manufacturing excellence our customers are used to, whilst also providing an exciting platform for developing many more new products and services. Our customers will benefit from us being more competitive in the market, whilst our new websites will extend an online shopping facility to all.”

By merging operations into one site near Bristol, Signconex and Signscape will be able to pass on the benefits of improved economies of scale and a wider range of in-house expertise. They will also be able to invest in new plant and equipment for faster production times for both standard products and bespoke fabrications.”

Signscape and Signconex will continue to use their own brands for twelve months for continuity purposes. However, customers of both companies will soon be able to benefit from a comprehensive combined product range to include signs, way-finding systems, banner systems, poster cases, notice boards, menu cases, solar powered displays, bespoke fabrications and other information displays.”
