Laura Ashley takes last available unit at Christopher Place, St Albans

Hermes Property Unit Trust (HPUT) is pleased to announce the agreement of a new letting to Laura Ashley at Christopher Place in St Albans. The signing means all retail units at the Centre are now fully let.

The British-heritage brand has signed a five year lease, with a tenant right to renew for a further five years. The new store is spread across a ground and first floor unit at the centre, totalling over 1,200 square feet. Laura Ashley joins other premium retail and restaurant brands Cath Kidston, LK Bennett, Carluccios, and The White Company at Christopher Place.

Ben Tolhurst, Asset Manager at Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited, said: “Laura Ashley is a great brand, and brings Christopher Place, St Albans, to 100% let. We are pleased to welcome them to the centre.

“Christopher Place is an excellent example of our asset management expertise. By aligning the tenant mix with the local catchment and targeting complementary brands like Laura Ashley and the White Company, Christopher Place has consistently outperformed with footfall figures up 40 per cent year on year.”

MMX Retail and Nash Bond acted on behalf of Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Limited at Christopher Place. Laura Ashley was represented by their in-house real estate manager.
