HL Display gets focussed

HL Display has a close relationship with Focus DIY spanning eight years. Its latest project for the retailer has been providing acrylics to all of its new format stores.

One of the key aims of the Focus DIY new format stores is to make the shopping environment customer centric. It was looking for an acrylics solution that would support this strategy, ensuring that shoppers can find what they are looking for whilst also encouraging their interaction with its key areas and ranges.

Because of the strong relationship the HL Display team has with Focus DIY, it was able to investigate the brief and how the products needed to be applied and then advise on the optimum mechanic to achieve maximum results in store. Once the specification was agreed HL created a ‘store pack’ that could be used in all outlets, eliminating the need for any tailoring of the solution to individual stores. This meant that the acrylics delivered the stand out effect Focus required whilst at the same time provided value for money, without compromising on quality. Another benefit of this approach was that the same product could be utilised in multiple categories in store and be delivered wherever needed within a short lead-time.

The new format stores form an important part of Focus DIY’s future strategy, therefore it was crucial that any solution provided by HL Display was designed to be of an extremely high standard and supplied within budget in a tight lead-time. Thanks to HL Display’s efficient project management and UK production capability it met Focus DIY’s stringent requirements for the project on all levels.
