Handpoint win the 2012 Channel Awards

Handpoint – the payments experts, today announced that the Handpoint Headstart Mobile Chip&PIN payment solution won the Channel Awards at the Merchant Payment Ecosystem 2012 Conference that took place in Berlin, Germany, with all the major players from the European payment industry.

The Channel Awards goes to the acquirer, the processor, the network services provider, the payment services provider, the payment scheme, the MNO or the solution provider, who was able to offer innovative or the most complete offering regarding card, mobile or online acceptance in different channels.


The Handpoint Headstart solution is a Chip&PIN payment solution for smartphones and tablets and allows small merchants as well as big retailers to leverage mobile devices as card acceptance devices in a secure way. Handpoint thereby follows the footsteps of Square and iZettle but with a fully compliant Chip&PIN solution and a white labelling strategy, enabling acquiring banks and Mobile Network Operators to go themselves after the market under their own brand name.
