Forrester’s Martin Gill to Discuss Going Digital at Internet Retailing Conference 2012

Martin Gill, a Principle Analyst in eBusiness and Channel Strategy, has announced that recent changes in mainstream consumer behaviour cannot be ignored by retailers, believing those who do not embrace digital technology may suffer as a result.

At The 7th Internet Retailing Conference, which takes place on 9th October at the Novotel, Hammersmith, London, Martin will be instructing retailers how they can confidently change their retail experience and reorganise their brand to serve the multi-touchpoints expected by today’s savvy consumer.

Martin states “The retail world is going to look very different in 10 year’s time. We will be talking seriously about the start of the demise of cash, through the uptake of mobile wallets and the re-invention of the retail store into an experiential engagement that will see shops as places to view products and order from.”

He continues: “the Internet Retailing conference brings together many of the key retailers in the UK. It’s a great place for retailers to sound research theories off each other and where we can discuss what’s relevant and front of mind for eBusiness executives so that we can stay relevant in our work.”

See Martin’s talk at 11.20pm in Stream 1 at the Internet Retail Conference. Other headline speakers include Kiddicare, Marketing Director and Morrison’s CEO Alison Lancaster, Carphone Warehouse CEO, Best Buy Europe, Andrew Harrison and Shop Direct Director of Ecommerce Jonathan Wall.
