Festival Place welcomes Levi Roots to Eat Street event

The annual Eat Street food event is going to be back with a bang on 3rd and 4th June at Festival Place, the Basingstoke-based shopping centre, with live cooking demonstrations and samples from food and beverage retailers including Nando’s, Las Iguanas, Wagamama, Festival Street Kitchen, Yobu and Whittards.

Taking centre stage at the event this year will be Rastafarian musician and Reggae Reggae Sauce creator, Levi Roots. The now entrepreneur and restaurateur, whose culinary career was launched via TV show Dragons’ Den, will be bringing his sunshine flavours to Festival Place with live food demonstrations between 11am and 3pm on both days.

Festival Place Marketing Manager, Charlotte Ranger, said: “This will be the fifth time we have run our Eat Street event and we are looking forward to welcoming Levi Roots to be part of the occasion as he brings some authentic Caribbean flavour to Festival Place. It’s also a great opportunity for our shoppers to enjoy samples from a number of our restaurants and cafés so that they can plan a visit to their new favourite the next time they come and shop.”
